Centre for Social Medicine’s (CSM) Centre for Research in Tribal Health & Services (CRTHS), PIMS-DU, Loni, Maharashtra – the only Rural Medical & Allied Health Sciences University - takes the pleasure to invite you to the National Conference on “Tribal Health Research – Issues, Challenges & Opportunities” which will be held on Sept 19-21, 2019 at Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Deemed to be University, Loni, Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra.

The National Conference will be an innovative and informative National Conference reflecting the direction of Tribal Health while offering a wide range of diversions to participants of all backgrounds. Leading academicians, medical students, clinicians, public health professionals, health care specialists, health care workers, health economists, eminent researchers, scientists, health workers, policy makers, social workers and other related professionals are welcome to share their knowledge and experiences in the field of Public Health.

Aim and Objectives of the Conference

Aim: To provide a common platform for all stakeholders engaged in tribal health and development to synthesize and explore their ideas, experiences practices through sharing, discussion, deliberation, prioritization for drawing an action plan/road map on various issues, challenges and opportunities at regional and national Tribal Health Research.

Objectives:
  1. To discuss and resolve the challenges in tribal health research
  2. To identify the opportunities at regional and national level for tribal health research.
  3. To enhance the collaboration between tribals and researchers for better understanding the tribal health issues.
  4. To discuss the outcomes of the various research studies conducted on tribal health and health care delivery.
  5. To increase the effective use of Nutrition, ethno medicine, health care delivery etc. to improve the health outcome of tribals.


The National Conference on “Tribal Health Research – Issues, Challenges and Opportunities” 2019 will come out with a clear Road Map/Action Plan for focused and priority research on Tribal Health to bridge the gap at National level through “Bhandardhara Declaration”.
