Funding: Planning, organization and financial arrangements to be negotiated for each individual projects, depending on availability of funds

Areas of Cooperation for Joint Academic & Training:

  1. Full time international academic programme in: i) Diploma in Occupational Health & ii.) Masters degree in Rural Health/Public Health.
  2. Develop and Implement online Certificate/Diploma Courses in Occupational Health.
  3. Plan Occupational Health Training for Health Care Professionals & Staff at PIMS Hospitals & Health Centers.
  4. Training in Primary Health Care Programs based on nursing care.
  5. Exchange of IT development experiences for the continuous improvement of institutional management.
  6. Any other Diploma/Certificate courses in Community Health, Community Nursing, Community Physiotherapy etc.


Areas of Co-Operation for Joint Collaboration Research:

The initial identified areas of research include:

  • Studies on occupational health: i) Issues of migratory/agricultural workers (sugarcane harvesting workers); ii) International research in ergonomics in the field of agriculture and health care settings.
  • Studies on environment and health: i) Methods for improving sugarcane cultures in the zone of Anapoima and Apulo, Colombia; ii) Comparative studies on the developed and effective rural schools based on the experience of both institutions.
  • Studies on mental health: i) Social determinants of mental health of rural populations within the cultural context of Colombia and India; ii) Behavioral intervention methods for improving life quality and wellbeing of rural populations.
  • Intervention research studies in other areas such as community health, neurosciences, genetics, etc.
